Today was an amazing field trip. we went to the temple mount and walked around and saw important sites around the temple. We saw the pinacle of the temple where Christ was tempted of the devil. We saw the ruins of the temple that the Romans threw over the side of the mount. The coolest thing for me was the stairs. Go to the back of your bible to the photos of the holy land and you'll see apicture of stairs leading up to Herod's Temple. Yeah I saw on those and walked on those. We also all stood at a certain place where we KNOW Christ stood and where he healed a blind man. My teacher for this field trip was the head cheese himself, Brother Huntington. He's great and amazing. I loved hearing his insights and stories.
Yesterday was another fun field trip. We went to Masada(theres a movie about this place that i'm gonna have to check out), the Dead Sea, David's Waterfall, and the caves where they found the Dead Sea scrolls. Masada was hot. It's on top of a mountain (for protection) and as we were looking out from the top we didn't see one tree! Its a very barren land. But we did see the Dead Sea.
After touring Masada we drove over the the Dead Sea and swam in it. It was amazingly weird and slimy feeling. It was impossible to sink. I could stand straight up and down in the water with no effort. It was so amazing!
